Question:
I have an e bike that weights approx 60 pounds will the Thule Passage bike carrier trunk mount support it?

I do have a solution for you, however, the Thule Passage 2 # TH910XT has a weight capacity of 35lbs per bike, so this will not be able to safely carry your E-bike. There is currently no trunk mounted bike carrier that is capable of transporting your 60lb E-bike.
For your 2013 Ford Edge I recommend the hitch-mounted Inno Tire Hold 1 Bike Rack # INH110. This has a weight capacity of 60lbs. Since the weight of your e bike would be close to or over the weight capacity of the rack, you could remove the bike's battery to ensure you are under the weight limit. Most e bike manufacturers recommend doing this when transporting. Also be aware that this bike rack allows up 3" wide tires.
I also recommend the hitch-mounted Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack # Y36FR that would allow 2 bikes that weigh 66lbs each. This rack allows up to 3" wide tires, but you could add a Fat Tire Strap Kit # Y23FR that would allow tire width of up to 4.5". This bike rack would most likely be a better option as it has a higher weight capacity and has the add-on strap option for wider tires, and would allow 2 bikes to be transported.
In order to use the hitch-mounted bike racks, you will need a receiver hitch. If you do not already have one, the 2" Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13067 would be a great choice.
