Recommended 2 Bike Rack For Step-Thru Bike On 2018 Kia Niro
Question:
I have a step thru ebike. Am I right that the Hollywood Sport Rider SE2 requires an adapter bar to create an artificial top tube? I assume that the Saris freedom 2 does not require that? Im concerned that the Saris may be less sturdy/stable for my 50 lb ebike + 25lb road bike. Thanks

For your 2018 Kia Niro, I recommend the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # SA4412B.
This has a weight capacity of 60lbs per bike, so you won't have any stability issues with your bikes since they are less than 60lbs each.
The Saris would not require an adapter bar, however, the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 would require one.
If your ebike tires are over 2 1/4" wide, I recommend the Fat Tire Adapter Kit For Saris Freedom Bike Racks # SA4419. This adapter kit would allow up to 5" wide tires, and it is easily installed using the factory hardware.
