I have another option, but at this time there is not a base plate kit offered for your 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid that is compatible with the Demco Aluminator Tow Bar that you currently have.

Instead I recommend using the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM39FR which is confirmed to fit your vehicle, and will install without adding an unsightly crossbar as you can see in the included picture.

For a compatible tow bar I recommend the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates # e74ZR due to the non-binding feature allowing you to disconnect your Escape from your tow vehicle quickly even on un-even ground. This tow bar includes safety cables to keep you from having to purchase them separately.

To complete your flat-towing setup you will need a few more parts.

For wiring I recommend the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-98146-7 which will add a 6-way connector to the front of your vehicle, and the included 7-way to 6-way cord will plug into the 7-way connector on your RV to power the turn signals and brake lights. The included diodes will protect your factory wiring harness from feedback and damage.

For a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to the easy install and since it gets completely removed from the vehicle when you are done flat towing. This makes the # BRK2019 a system that can be transferred to a different towed vehicle if needed without a in-depth semi-permanent install.

Lastly as I'm sure you know, you will more than likely need a high-low adapter to level the to bar to your tow vehicle. I included a helpful article that will show you how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.

It is always a good idea to check the flat towing section of your owner's manual for any restrictions or directions to make your vehicle ready to flat tow.

I included videos for all of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
