hello I ordered a wiring kit from 2 other places and both were plug and play for 1997 but the connectors were wrong the kit came with square connectors and my jeep has the flat connectors. is this kit flat or square

The Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit # BLU79FR you were looking at has square connectors that will not plug into the connectors you have on your 1997 Jeep TJ.

Since we do not offer a custom wiring kit that will plug into the connectors you have on your Jeep, I recommend the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 which will splice into your factory harness and the included diodes will protect your factory wiring from feedback or damage from your tow vehicle.
