My Prodigy P2 Works with my Camper but Shows nc When Connected to my New Trailer
Question:
I have been pulling my camper for two years with no issue with a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4. I bought a brand new 17ft double axel trailer to pull my Kubota Tractor and the trailer keeps showing nc no matter what I do. The trailer was not sitting in a lot, I actually waited 4 weeks for it to be built and delivered. But still, every time I plug my camper., it connects with no issues. Plug in the trailer and I get nc every time. It appears that my truck all the way back to the 7 way is operating correctly. Where and how should I start troubleshooting my trailer?

Helpful Expert Reply:
I would start with the trailers wiring plug. There is a missing connection there meaning the trailer plug is not making one of the connections in the 7-way properly giving you the nc or not connected error message.
Make sure all of the tabs on the 7-way are present and all look the same as they do on your camper. You will likely find one that has been damaged or bent too far and needs to be bent back so it can connect.
If you need to replace it use the 7-Way Round RV Style Trailer Connector part # A7WCB. I have linked a video of it's installation process for you.
