Hitch Adapter For A Four Bike Platform Carrier On An RV To Clear Vehicle When Turning

Looking for a hitch adapter for the back of our RV to haul our 4 bike platform carrier and use our tow dolly. Would there be an issue with turning?

With any 4 bike platform rack and a flat towed vehicle you are going to have clearance issues. Adding a raised shank is not going to give you enough clearance to get above the hood of your vehicle when making turns. I recommend putting the Yakima FullSwing 4 Bike Rack - 2" Hitches - Swinging Item # Y02465 on the back of the towed vehicle. This rack is designed for flat towed vehicles. Has 160lb weigh capacity and has a swing away feature to give you access to the truck or hatch of the vehicle with having to remove the bikes.
