I may have a solution for you, but there is not an adapter available to make a 2-1/2" receiver into a 3" receiver. The only way to get a 3" hitch receiver would be to move to a hitch like the Super Titan 3000 Weld-on Trailer Hitch w/ 3" Receiver - 20K - 12" x 11-1/4" Wings # 38023, which is built for frame widths from 33-1/2" to 34-1/2". You would need to measure the distance between your frame rails on your 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 to determine which Super Titan you would need.
If you'd like to go that route, just let me know what your frame width is and I can look to see if there is a Super Titan available to fit your 3500.
