Replacement 2K 26 Leaf Springs for Boat Trailer
Question:
I took one leaf spring out and I'm pretty sure you're right. They need replacing. I will also need the U clamps that hold it on the axel and the bolts that fasten the leaf spring to the frame and the shackle. They leaf springs are about 26 1/4" center to center on the bolt holes. Is there a kit for everything? The GVWR says 2000 lbs. inside u-bolts are 1-7/8"

Expert Reply:
The correct leaf spring to use will be the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring part # e77SR which is 26" long but keep in mind leaf springs stretch over time so the correct replacement is usually shorter than the existing. In regards to the u-bolts, the correct kit would be the CE Smith U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 2,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles part # CE23000. Then for the shoulder bolts, you can just use part # 166081.
