Will Dexter Actuator work in 7 Degree Temperature
Question:
my 2008 Dexter hydraulic brake actuator had a small bit of hydraulic fluid in the safety tray, noted after 2 days of very unfortunate hauling in sub freezing weather. Would this extreme cold 7F lows, 20F highs affect this in any way? Upon my inspection, the cap seems not to fit very snuggly. I had never noticed this before, but never had reason to investigate so not sure if this is how the cap should fit. Thank you for your response!!

Expert Reply:
The Dexter Actuator part # K71-651 will work fine with in the temperature range that you mentioned. If the cap is leaking and not fitting tightly you would need to replace it with part # K71-685-00.
