Question:

I have a 2002 Chevy express 3500 and Im wanting to pull a camper or a enclosed trailer to help me move. I want to get trailer brakes I have the receiver and wiring for the lights already. What else will I need? How hard is this to do?

In order to tow a trailer with brakes using a 2002 Chevrolet Express Van you really only need two things, a trailer wiring harness like the Universal 4 to 7 and 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7 and a brake controller like the Brake EVN # TK63VR which are my recommendations. The install process is pretty straight forward. I have attached an install video I did on an earlier model below which will be pretty much the same as the 2002.

Please note, you can cut the plug off the brake controller and hardwire directly in to save money.
