Converting Grand Design 353G With The Lippert 1621 Pin Box To The Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
Due to having a short-bed truck, I am looking to replace the pin-box on my 2021 Grand Design 353G Momentum when it arrives. I would like to install a Reese Sidewinder or Reese Airborne Elite Sidewinder. What would be the correct Reese pinbox to order to replace the stock one. I have been on the phone with GD, Lippert, and Reese and no one can tell me the part number for the stock 353G pinbox so I can order the correct aftermarket Reese product.

There are two options of Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel hitches that will replace a Lippert 1621 pin box. You can get the 20K Sidewinder # RP34FR or the 16K Air Ride Sidewinder # RP61422. Since you'll have the Sidewinder, you won't need a sliding hitch. You could go with the B&W Companion # BWRVK3600, but since you're looking for the lighter option I recommend you use the Reese M5 # RP30918.
