Will the GearDeck Cargo Carrier Work with my Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier
Question:
I have a Roadmaster spare tire carrier on the back of our Sprinter 3500 22foot class C motorhome. The spare tire overhangs the rear end of the Roadmaster hitch receiver by 6. Im wondering if the Aero/GearDeck box combination has a long enough 2inch hitch arm to allow the GearDeck box to slide fully forward toward the spare tire, for transport. If not, could you suggest a similar combination that would work? Thanks -

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches part # H00604 will work out really well for you when using the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier part # RM-195125. It's closest point to the pin hole is 14" meaning even with 6" of tire overhang you will still have approximately 8" of clearance.
