Class S Tire Chains for 2021 Subaru Ascent

Question:

I have a 2021 Subaru Ascent and live in Oregon which requires tire chains when I go in the mountains. Subaru advises against chains but says I can use type S. What would be advisable to use for chains that won’t damage my AWD system and comply with chain regulations. Any model and brand that’s better in icy roads and/or deep snow? I assume even with AWD just mount chains on the front and don’t need all four?

Class S tire chains have lower clearance requirements so since you can use Class S tire chains on your 2012 Subaru Ascent you have really great options like the Konig Easy Fit part # TH04115255 which install in a matter of seconds.

Which we had the chance to install on a similar 2020 Subaru Ascent which I attached an install video for as well.

For a set of tire chains that are priced a little lower we have the Titan set part # TC2323 as a fit as well. These are more involved to install but are still a solid choice.
