Will the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play Work On a 2003 GMC Sierra with Hydro-Boost Brakes

Question:

If I understand correctly, my GMC 2500 hydroboost uses hydraulic pressure from the power steering to boost my brakes. Without the truck running, it is difficult to get enough pressure on the pedal to engage the brakes. Does this system work with hydroboost brakes?

Yes, the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251 will work on a 2003 GMC Sierra with hydro-boost brakes. The vacuum connections however will be different than those in the instructions, instead you'll need to simply leave the factory installed check valve open and not connect it to anything. This will just send more air pressure to the air cylinder.
