My research shows the Silverado 1500 has a maximum tongue weight rating of 1100 pounds when a WD system is used; 600 pounds without WD. I suggest you refer to your owners manual to confirm the towing specifications for your Silverado.

If your trailer has a tongue weight of 640 pounds with the stock propane tanks, but has been equipped with larger (heavier) propane tanks you will want to confirm the additional weight of these larger tanks when filled, along with the total weight of all other items loaded in your trailer, as you consider which weight distribution system to use. This particular product, part # PS49582, the Pro Series Weight Distribution System w/ Friction Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW, 750 lbs TW, might be too near its maximum capacity when used with your trailer due to the larger propane tanks.
