Which Base Rails Can I Use to Mount Husky 24k in 1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Question:

A friend of mine gave me a used Husky 24k 5th wheel hitch and Im trying to determine what mounting rails and brackets I need. I have a 99 Ford F-350SD with an 8 bed. Currently theres a goose neck hitch mounted fixed ball but Im planning to remove it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'll start off by saying that your Husky 24k hitch likely mounts to industry standard base rails. To mount your Husky 5th wheel hitch in your 1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty you'll want to use a base rail kit like the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10 Bolt # RP30035, which is a confirmed fit for your truck and will give you a set of industry standard base rails for a 5th wheel hitch. This is a universal type installation kit that may require drilling into the frame, but you could also use a custom installation kit like the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56005-53. This is custom designed for your truck and would limit any drilling required; it won't necessarily eliminate it, but it's definitely an easier process.

I've linked some review video and an installation video for you to use as a guide.
