The Curt 20K 5th wheel trailer hitch # C16530-16021 is designed to fit Ram trucks that have the factory installed 5th wheel prep package with the 4 pucks in the bed, so it will fit in the pucks in your 2017 Ram 2500. However, since you have a short bed truck you're likely going to need a sliding hitch unless the trailer was specifically designed to be towed by a short bed truck.
