Recommended 10K Weight Distribution System for Trailer with 8 Tall x 4 Wide Frame
Question:
I am looking for a weight distribution hitch for my trailer. 8inch aluminum I beam trailer. The I beam is 4inch wide. Weight of the trailer empty is 4,500 and loaded can see 10,000 pounds. Distribution bars will be used when over 6,000 pounds. Tongue weight will range from 600-1000 pounds so I was thinking the chain system may be better due to adjustability with links. If I had to commit to one tongue weight it would be 750lbs. Sway is not an issue. Whats my WDH? Thank you very much

I do have options for you but the frame dimensions will cause problems for most systems. If you want to use one with chains like the Curt Weight Distribution System part # C17052 then you'd have to swap out the clamp-on brackets for bolt-on, the Chain Hangers for Curt Weight Distribution Systems part # C17005. This system will have you covered while empty or loaded and it's easy to adjust this based on the load with the chains.
