Should Galvanized Axles Be Used on Boat Trailers

Is this axle suitable for a boat trailer, or should it be galvanized?

For a boat trailer, you'd really want to use a galvanized axle. We offer a galvanized boat trailer axle from CE Smith as part # CE33201GA for the axle beam only or # CE33201GA-HUB the axle and hubs.
The axle has an 1800 lb capacity, and a hub face to hub face dimension of 57-1/2 inches. The spring seats are 46-1/2 inches apart on center.
If you need a different sized axle, you'll need to custom order one from your local trailer supply house.
