Lost Key for Diversi-Tech / Fastway, Self-Locking Hitch
Question:
Hello. I have a 6 inch DT self locking hitch. And in our recent move we have loss the keys. I have had the hitch for many years and can’t seem to find a number on the hitch to find the model. What are my options for getting new keys?

I originally thought this "DT" hitch was "Draw-Tite" but I have figured out that this is a "Diversi-Tech" hitch, which was bought out by Fastway some time ago.
The key number is NOT on the lock cylinders as many cylinders have. Instead you would have had to save your original paperwork with the key number noted. Since you do not have this number you will need to order
Fastway's #DTLBM02RK lock replacement kit which comes with instructions and four keys.
Our Fastway representative tells me that they use a little bit of thread locking compound on those set screws, so giving the set screw a good shot of a spray penetrating oil like PB Blaster and letting that sit for a couple of hours is recommended. I would blast any opening available.
