Recommended Replacement ST205/75-15 Tires With Wear In Middle
Question:
I currently have a tandem 6x12 cargo trailer with st205/75d15 tires. The rear tires are almost completely worn in the middle and Ive only had it since June and use it locally. Is this normal or is it improper driving or cheap tires? Either way, I need new tires and have no idea where to start. Im hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks

In regards to tire wear, wear on only the middle of the tire indicates over-inflation so you will need to make sure you are only filling them to the max psi on the sidewall of the tire while cold. For replacement, I recommend the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # TTWTRTM2057515C which is a great middle of the road option. They will need to be filled to 50 psi while cold. They have a 81 mph speed rating as well so you should not have any concerns here.
Please note, the tires you have now are bias ply (D) whereas the above are radial (R) which is a better all around tire.
