How to Upgrade the 4-Way on a 2019 Ford F-150 to a 7-Way

Hello, I am trying to add the 7 pin trailer connector to a non-tow package equipped 2019 F150 XLT. It currently has the 4 pin connector. Thanks for your help!

If you already have a 4-way on your 2019 F-150 XLT, then the best way to upgrade to a 7-way is to use the etrailer Universal Installation Kit, part # ETBC7.

This kit will not only upgrade you to a 7-way (providing you with the functions needed for a brake controller), but also has a 4-way port. This is important because once you install the 7-way, you don't want to have to uninstall it whenever you need the 4-way connection. The # ETBC7 takes care of this by having a 4-way connector right next to the 7-way plug-in. I've linked to a video installation of this kit for you to look at.
