Can 4 Pole On The Back 1994 Jeep Wrangler Be Used To Proved Taillight Functions When Flat Towing

Can i run a four pin wiring harness from the back of the motorhome to the four pin plug in at the rear of my Jeep to run the tail lights and turn signals ?

The 4 pole plug on the back of your 1994 Jeep Wrangler is intended for lights on a trailer. If you are wanting to provide lighting to your Jeep while it is being towed I recommend Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit Item # RM-154. This kit provides the diodes for the taillights on the Jeep, wiring from the diodes to the front of the Jeep with the 4 pole end, the 4 pole umbilical and the 4 pole end to be wired into the motor home.

I have provided a link to a video to help walk you through the instillation. There may be a couple things that are different between the video and the instillation on your Jeep. The wire colors on the vehicle in the video may be different so make sure you test for the correct functions. When I cut the 4 pole end off at the beginning of the video, I do that because the motor home already has wiring. If your motor home already has a 4 pole plug you can follow that portion of the video. If your motor home does not have a 4 pole plug you want to cut about a 3' section off. That section would need to be wired into the motor home taillight wiring.
