Is a Reese Revolution or Sidewinder Compatible with a Curt E5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch

Will a Revolution work with a Curt E 5 hitch and slider on a 2008 Dodge short box .

There are certain 5th wheel hitches that are not compatible with the Revolution or Sidewinder. The Curt E5 will not be a problem but you will have to keep the hitch locked in the towing position and never slide it back. Doing so will put incredible stress on the trailer and hitch and can cause a lot of damage and it will put the king pin behind the truck axle. This will lighten the front end, maybe enough to adversely affect steering and braking response.

If the trailer already has a Sidewinder (revolution) installed then you would not need to add anything else. If it needs a Sidewinder, to determine which one fits, I would need to know the pin box manufacturer and model number. This information should be on a plate or sticker on the pin box.
