Does a Hole Need to Be Drilled for the Drain During Installation of BAKFlip F1
Question:
BAKFlip F1 Hard Tonneau Cover - Folding - Aluminum and Fiberglass Item # BAK72327: Can you give me more information on what needs to be done for the drain hole - the video mention a modification through a grommet. I have a 2017 F150 6.5 foot bed. Thanks

When installing the BAKFlip F1 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK72327 you will either need to either drill a 7/8" hole in the truck bed to run the drain through or use the existing grommet in the wall of the truck bed for the drain and no hole will need to be drilled. It really depends on what is available on your truck, as some trucks have the grommet and some do not. We haven't installed this specific cover on a 2017 Ford F-150, so I'm not sure whether or not that grommet exists on your truck but you can check the front wall of the truck bed to see if it's there.
I've also linked a photo from the installation instructions that illustrates this a little bit more clearly.
