Can Conventional Ramp Door Spring # ERS120D81 Be Shortened
Question:
I am looking for the specific dimension between the spoils on the ERS120D81. I see 81” but I need to know also if that dimension can be shortened and if so, how much? Thank you.

The Conventional Ramp Door Spring # ERS120D81 can be shortened quite a bit actually as you can loosen the brackets that hold the coil of the spring and mount which is attached to the spool can be loosened and slid inwards to make the setup quite a bit shorter. Overall the setup is 81 inches but if you needed it to be shorter you certainly could.
