I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3015-P for your 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 2500 HD Diesel.
The Tekonsha P3 # 90195 is a top of the line trailer brake controller that is extremely reliable and will be more than capable to control the braking for your three horse Trails West Classic Warmblood Trailer . This controller will work with trailers up to 4 axles, offers an easy to read LCD screen, and a built in diagnostics system that is easy to understand if something were to go wrong.
The Tekonsha Plug-in Wiring Adapter # 3015-P will plug in to the electric junction box underneath your vehicle's dash and will plug directly in to the P3 # 90195 with no other wiring connections needed.
I included a video of the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 and the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3015-P for you to take a look at.
