Recommended Solution for Swing Away Adapter and Platform Rack for Heavy E-Bikes on 2017 Ford F-150

Need to carry 2 rambo roamer ebikes on the rear hitch of my F150. Need a fat tire bike hitch hauler and swing away adapter so I can access tailgate. What do yall recommend?

It looks like the Rambo Roamer e-bikes weigh 63-lbs each and have tires that are 4" wide, so I recommend using the Saris MTR 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # SA4031-33; you will need to remove the batteries to carry these bikes and get them under 60-lbs, which is the per bike capacity. This is the only rack we currently offer that fits only on 2" hitches and can carry fat tire e-bikes like your Rambo Roamers; using a rack with a 2" hitch is required for use with a swing away hitch adapter.

For the swing away adapter I recommend using the Yakima BackSwing # Y02483, which has a 250-lbs total capacity and will completely clear the back of the vehicle to allow you to open the tailgate on your 2017 Ford F-150. The BackSwing swings out 90 degrees and locks into place, so you don't have to worry about it swinging back and damaging the tailgate.
