What are the Wire Functions on the Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light # 30-92-001  

Question:

the brown wire comes from the trailer and hooks to the black wire on the left side that holds the l plate. Is that brown wire separent wire forom the others. the part # rvst56

Any time you are doing anything with the wiring on a trailer you will want to make sure you use a circuit tester like # PTW2979 to determine the functions of the wire because you can rarely go by color.

On the trailer wiring harnesses we sell, the brown wire is used from running lights. If it is a 4-wire harness, the wire is will run to one side and then a jumper wire will tap into the wire and T-off over to the other side.

On light # 30-92-001, the running light wire attaches to the green wire. Black is brake and turn signal, and white is the ground. I have included a couple of links that should help.
