Does Length of Motorcycle Carrier Affect Hitch Tongue Weight Capacity
Question:
My bike is a Suzuki DR650 which weighs 366 lbs. The tongue weight is rated for 600 lbs I think but idk if the length of the hitch will be a force multiplier.

Expert Reply:
The tongue weight rating of your vehicle does not need to be reduced/multiplied in anyway when determining if your DR650 can be carried on the # e98873 safely. This carrier weighs 90 lbs so you'd add that to the weight of your motorcycle and as long as that's lower than your hitch's tongue weight capacity you'd be fine.
