Easy to Install Brake Controller for 2019 Ford Transit T350
Question:
Hi, Im purchasing a 2019 Ford Transit 350 van. It is equipped with a trailer hitch but no brake controller. The following text is copied from the options the van has: 4-pin/7-pin connector and relay system for backup/B+/running lights, Note: This package does not include a Trailer Brake Controller 67D, Additionally, if customer wants a trailer brake controller after initial purchase, it will have to be an aftermarket trailer brake controller and aftermarket wiring harness, Frame Mounted Hitch Receiver, Tow/Haul Mode w/Trailering Wiring Provisions, trailer wiring harness to rear of vehicle for upfit, Trailer Sway Control TSC, 4/7 pin connector assembly and rear jumper My question is this: what brake controller do you recommend? will i be able to install the brake controller using a the wiring or harness provided with the controller or do I have to make wiring modifications in the van? Thanks.

So the easiest to install brake controller that also works really well is the Curt Echo Mobile part # C51180. Basically this just plugs into an active 7-way and once you sync it to your phone it's ready to go. This brake controller is proportional which means it senses the amount of deceleration your tow vehicle is applying and applies the trailer brakes in a relative way.
We don't have anything that will connect directly to the brake controller wiring of your 2019 Ford Transit T350.
