It sounds like you are wanting to install a brake controller on a 2017 Kia Sorento. If that is the case we have some great options, I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller part # C51180 with the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L. This option won't require you to splice into any wires on the vehicle; just plug-in the 4-way, ground the white wire, and run the black wire to the battery but that's it.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide wire color information for any one particular vehicle so if you are going to be hardwiring a brake controller you must test the wires for yourself.
