Adding Slide Topper to Slide Out That Has an Awning - Is there room?

Question:

My slide has a factory installed electric awning which is attached fully to the wall of the slide. Can a Lippert slide topper also be mounted above the factory awning with the track mounted to the trailer side. Or will there not be enough space to mount the slide topper hardware and roller? What are the dimensions of the hardware mounting plate and what is the elevation of the roller holding arm/hardware? I would like all 3 slides to have toppers seems silly to only do two of them.

The access plate is 2-15/16" wide and 7-5/8" long and must be mounted on the slide out's outside wall as far up as it can, but not mounted on the t-molding. The t-molding is what looks like 6" wide trim around the outside slide out wall. I have attached a *.PDF document showing the installation method for Lippert Solera Slide Toppers.

Once the access plate is installed the acces bracket slides on by the channels in teh bracket. Note that it can slide on by a high or low position. I have included two pictures showing these positions. You will want to choose the higher bracket to try and make room for the awning. To help you determine if these brackets can fit between your existing awning and the new access plates and bracket I have supplied a photo of the parts with dimensions. I have also attached an installation demonstration video.

If you can go forward with this project, just email me again and suppy the length X projection measurements, and if you perfer white or black. In addition to keeping leaves and debris out of your RV, this will help with your heating and cooling costs.
