Recommended Equalizer Upgrade Kit for Tandem 5.2K Axle Car Hauler
Question:
I just bought a Rice 9.9k magnum car hauler and Im wanting to upgrade to cushioned suspension equalizers as the ride is a bit harsh when you have a lighter load on it. What would you recommend for an equalizer kit? It has 5.2k axles under it.

Some of this will depend on the size of your existing equalizers (when replacing them it's best to find a set that's really close to the same width and height, otherwise you may need to replace other suspension components to maintain a compatible setup).
For an upgraded kit I really like the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 for your car hauler, which is designed for a tandem axle trailer with up to 6K axles. The equalizers feature rubber cores to help minimize chucking and the built-in grease zerks on the wet bolts make for easy and fast lubrication. The equalizers themselves have a 5-5/8" bolt-to-bolt length and are 2" tall. This system works great for an axle spacing of 33".
I have attached a short video review on this kit along with a link that will take you to our full selection of upgraded equalizer kits.
