Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch and Mounting Kit for 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500

I have a 2014 Silverado 2500HD gas vortec 6.0 with 6 1/2ft bed crew cab. Looking to tow a 5th wheel camper with a dry weight of 13,900lbs. I am looking for recommendations for the best complete 5th wheel hitch kit for my application. Thank you

We've got just what you're looking for to tow a 5th wheel trailer with your 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500. The best solution would to a kit that provides you with an underbed mounting kit since it allows you to have a clean truckbed when your hitch is not installed.

I recommend using the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1012-5W. This will kit will allow you to use the B&W Companion Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3400-5W, which is my recommendation for a short bed truck like yours. This hitch gives 12" of rearward travel when you need to make a sharp turn so that you will have adequate cab to trailer clearance thus avoiding any interference between the trailer and your truck. The B&W hitches are top of the line due to their quality and being made here in the USA, and its 20,000lb rating will be way more than enough for your 13,900lb 5th wheel camper.

This installation kit also doubles as a gooseneck hitch, should you ever need to tow a gooseneck trailer in the future.

To complete your setup I also recommend adding a 7-way connector to the bed of your truck so you will be able to plug in your camper. I recommend the # DM8555002, which will plug in in-line of your factory 7-way and give you the additional connector to install in your bed.
