Recommended E-Bike Carrier for Jayco Pinnacle 37MDQS with 300-lbs Tongue Weight Hitch
Question:
I have a Pinnacle 37MDQS fifth wheel with a factory-installed accessory carrying hitch with a maximum weight of 300 lbs. I also have two Ride1Up 700 step through e-bikes that each weigh 54 lbs. www.ride1up.com/product/700-series/. I have looked at the Hollywood RV Rider. This seems that it would work as the weight of the hitch is 63.5 lbs. and the total weight including the bike and bike covers would be less than 200 lbs. However, it states that the minimum trailer hitch tongue weight must be a class III 350 lbs.. Other than that I have not been able to find a bike rack that would work. What would you recommend for a bike rack in this situation? I am open to any and all suggestions.

I recommend the Swagman E-Spec Electric Bike Rack - 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Black # S94FR, which weighs 59-lbs and will allow you to carry your Ride1Up 700 bikes on the rear of your Pinnacle 37MDQS with a 2" hitch. The E-Spec can carry bikes up to 70-lbs and is rated for use on the back of 5th wheel trailers, so it fits all of your needs and Swagman really is an underrated brand that makes some high quality racks. Because this is a frame mounting bike rack, you might need a bike frame adapter bar like the Swagman # 64005 if you have the ST version of the 700 Series Ride1Up.
I've linked a review video of this rack for you to check out, but this does meet all of your needs and I think it will do a great job.
