Recommended Trailer Hitch for a Motorhome

Question:

i have a 2015 Thor Motorhome. 34J. It is used to pull a double axle 20 ft. triler loaded with bicycles and luggage for 25 people. last year the reciver broke off. 2 of 3 bolts on one side sheared and the frame ripped on the other side. there was a lot of unexpected porpoising in new jersey. we have to use a height adjustable hitch because the motor home receiver is so high. I have to use a drop reciever of 4 inches to pull my car. what would you suggest I use to help with this problem.

It sounds like you might be looking for a new trailer hitch for a motorhome, if that is the case we have some great options. I recommend the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13701 which will work on any motorhome with frames rails spaced between 18" to 51" apart. It has a 5,000 lb gross trailer weight and 500 lb tongue weight rating. It also has a built-in drop to reduce the amount of drop needed for the ball mount/tow bar.
