How To Convert a 4-Way On a Motorhome to a 7-Blade
Question:
I have a 1999 Lazy Daze with a 4-pin receptacle on the back of it to connect my tow vehicle. I have a Brake Buddy so I dont need to connect a trailer brake. Im towing a 2012 Honda CRV with a 7-pin connector. Is there an adapter to go from the 4pin to the 7-pin connector? The schematic from Lazy Daze says the 4-pin has Left TurnYellow, Right TurnGreen, Running LightBrown, and GroundWhite. Are the running lights the same as brake lights? The Picture with the two connectors are from the car, the smaller one connects to the car and the bigger one connects to the RV. Thank you,

In order to go from a 4-flat on a motorhome to a 7-blade, you'll need an adapter for which I recommend using the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector part # 30717. If you only need signals then you can leave the blue, yellow, and black wires unattached but you will need to ground the unit.
The turn signal wires also carry the brake signal FYI.
