How to Measure to Find Correct Grease Seal for Hub With Inner Bearing L44649 & Outer Bearing L44643

Question:

Hello, I have an older Nissan trailer with a hub marked W-2 with a 262 and 280 stamped on it. 5 bolt pattern, threaded holes. Inner bearing is L44649, outer L44643. I cannot find a seal number. Curious if you can cross reference any of these. Thanks

I was unable to locate any hub with those numbers, so in order to find the correct grease seal, what you'll need to do is measure. To get the measurement, use digital caliper and measure your spindle to the thousandths of an inch where the grease seal rides like in the accompanying photo.

For a hub with inner bearing # L44649 and outer bearing # L44643 and a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, you will likely need the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub for 2,000-lb and 2,200-lb Axles # 8-259-50.

This hub is compatible with Grease Seal # 34823 (1.249" inner diameter) or Grease Seal # 10-9 (1.500" inner diameter).

If not, I have also added links below to our entire selection of hubs and bearings and seals for you should you need something else.
