Which Trailer Hitch Receiver and Bike Rack for 2 E-Bikes on a 2019 Honda CR-V EX-L
Question:
Hello, we have a 2019 EX-L Honda CRV. We dont want to mount a hitch on it. We have e-bikes which are pretty heavy. One male and one female. We would like the best trunk mount bike rack we can get that doesn’t touch car body and is sturdy.

I have another option but due to the weight of electric bikes, the Saris Bones EX 3 Bike Rack # SA803 you referenced will not work on your 2019 Honda CR-V EX-L.
The Saris Bones EX 3 bike Rack # SA803 has a maximum weight capacity of 35lbs per bike which is likely not enough as most electric bikes weight from 50-70lbs depending on the brand and accessories added.
A trunk mounted bike rack that will support the weight of two electric bikes does not exist.
I know this is not the route you wanted to go but the only option to carry your two electric bike's is installing a trailer hitch receiver and using a hitch mounted bike rack. I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76128 due to it not requiring a relocation kit for your hands free lift gate sensor, and its higher tongue weight and trailer weight ratings making it the strongest option for your vehicle. I included a video of the Draw-Tite # 76128 being installed on a 2019 Honda CR-V for you to take a look at.
For carrying heavier electric bikes I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Bike Rack # HLY84FR which allows for two bikes weighing up to 80lbs each, and tilts to help you access the rear cargo area of your vehicle with the bike rack installed. I included a video review of the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Bike Rack # HLY84FR for you.
