Recommended Trailer Springs for my 2,000 lb. Axle with 20-1/2 Mounting Hole Centers
Question:
boat trailer with springs that measure 20 1/2 from center to center.will the 23 3/8 work if i use a longer shackle?

Instead of changing the geometery of the original design which could cause issues the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles part # e84SR has the exact same specifications as the one you have however it has a 20-3/8" center to center on the holes.
This is likely the same one you have but over time yours has worn out a bit and has lengthened. We often see this as springs get worn out.
