E trailer sent me the advantage HE6009 and its too long. The customer service person is now recommending the Saris 3040. Will that work? Here is a photo of the advantage . I cannot get the loops on the end tight.

The Saris bike frame adapter part # SA3040 that you referenced has an adjustable range of between 19 and 25 inches which judging by your picture would work well since you have 20 inches from outside of your rear seat post and steering stem.
