Will Thule Motion XT L Cargo Box Work With Yakima RailBar Crossbars

Question:

I was about the make a purchase here but realized on your product description page that Thule Motion XT maximum crossbar dimensioninch is listed as 3 1/2. However the Yakima RaiBars have a width of 4inch overall and 3 5/8inch usable. So is it too wide for this Thule cargo box? I also read that Thule products work with most crossbars, including various factory-installed ones so I would be surprised if it doesnt work with Yakima RailBars, however, I would like to make sure if it fits and if it is safe. I would appreciate your help before making a purchase on your site. Thanks.

The Yakima RailBar Crossbars are 3-5/8" wide so they will be too large for the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box part # TH629706 which only works with crossbars up to 3-1/2" wide. That said, you can use the Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack which is similar to the Yakima RailBar Crossbars but only 3-1/8" wide.

The correct Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack for a 2019 Volvo XC90 is part # TH7503-TH7503.
