Can A Magnetic Light Kit be Used at the Same Time as a Tow Dolly Light Kit

Question:

I have a diesel pusher with a 7 pin slide connector. I need to connect both the lights on my car dolly and a set of magnetic lights on the rear of my towed vehicle. Both of these light pairs have four pin connectors. It is easy to convert the 7 pin slide connector on my coach to a four pin, but I can only connect one of the two light pairs. Is there some kind of four pin Y connector that will allow me to connect both pairs of lights to my coach? Or, do I have to wire and install a second connector on my coach?

As long as the power draw from the lights on the tow dolly and the magnetic lights does not exceed the amperage rating of the tow package wiring on the RV then you can just tap the magnetic kit into the tow dolly wiring harness.

What I recommend is to tap into the tow bar wiring using the short wiring harness in # RM-2120 that you referenced. That way when it is not needed you can just put the cap on it and secure it to the tow dolly or RV. But you must make sure that the combined power draw of all the lights is within the capacity of the RV trailer wiring.
