Is Equal-i-Zer Weight Distribution EQ37060ET Good Choice for Forest River R Pod 191

Question:

Hello. I will be using a 2018 Dodge Durango R/T with factory tow package to tow a Forest River R Pod 191 which has a tongue weight of about 315 pounds and loaded trailer weight of about 3500 pounds. Can you please confirm that this is the correct weight distribution hitch for my set up? Also, what is the level of difficulty for the installation? My local trailer service center said they would charge around $200 for installation. Thanks for your help!

The tongue weight range of the Equal-i-zer kit part # EQ37060ET that you referenced would work great with the tongue weight you mentioned of your Forest River R Pod 191. This system has a range of 200 to 600 lbs and is widely considered to be the best system out there so it would work really well for you.

The initial install is not difficult but would probably take an hour or so to do. No aspect of it is overly challenging or requiring of specialty tools.
