Brake Assembly For A 1972 Apache Mesa Camper

Question:

So my initial measurement was an estimate and seemed pretty close but I took the back plate off and it is actually 2 7/8 on center. So those replacements should be just fine. Can I assume that my original 1972 drum will fit or is it a try and see how it goes?

If your original backing plate measurement was 2-7/8" then the new brake assembly is going to work. As long as your current brakes assembly measures 7" x 1-1/4" then you would be set using your existing drum.
