Can the Pacer Performance Cab Light Kit be Wired to the Running Lights
Question:
I bought these cab lights but don’t want to use the toggle switch. Wondering if there’s a way to wire directly to running lights, if so do you have any instruction? The truck I’m mounting them on has never had cab lights in case that matters.

They do not provide instructions for wiring the Pacer Performance Hi-Five LED Truck Cab Light Kit part # PP20-236 directly to the running lights but it is very possible. Basically you need to use a probe tester like part # PTW2993. This will allow you to check the wiring behind your headlight switch to determine which wire is for your running light circuit. You will test the wires with the running lights only on and see what wire is hot. Then turn them off if it loses signal it is the one you want.
Splice your wire from the cab light that would normally go to the toggle to the running light wire and you will be set.
