Brake Controller Wiring Kit Without 7-Way to 4-Way Adapter

Question:

my f150 didnt have any tow package from the factory so i added my own class IV trailer hitch and a 7 pin and 4 pin connector. Do i need to run my own brake controller harness kit or should it still have a stock brake control harness?

You will still need to run wiring for your 2015 Ford F-150 even though you already have a 7-way to 4-way adapter. What you will need is the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers # 5506.

This is essentially the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 but without the 7-way to 4-way.
