Weight Distribution Hitch With Sway Control for Light Travel Trailer
Question:
I recently purchased a used 2006 Starcraft Travel Trailer. I was excited to see that Husky trunnion weight distribution bars and a sway control bar were included in the storage compartment. I should have looked closer as I now realize that the Husky bars do not fit the hitch that was included! Is it possible to order just the Husky weight distribution hitch. Or, will those bars fit another hitch?

Weight distribution parts fit specifically together (certain arms need a certain head unit, etc.), so without knowing the exact model of system your bars came from, or the exact model your head unit came from, it is really a wild goose chase that wouldn't be possible to get you exactly the right parts you need.
Without that info, the only option really is going to be a new weight distribution hitch, and you can get a quality system without breaking the bank. You do need to get the right system, and it looks like there are dozens of 2006 Starcraft travel trailers, ranging in GVWR from about 2,500 lbs to about 7,000 lbs.
The best option for a quality weight distribution hitch with sway control is the Fastway e2. It has trunnion bars that control sway with friction and easy-to-use clamp-on bracket. This is also a less expensive option than similar systems while remaining high quality. The correct system will depend on your 2006 Starcraft trailer's GVWR.
If your trailer's GVWR is up to 4,000 lbs the system you need is the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0600.
If the GVWR is from 4,000 lbs to about 7,000 lbs the correct hitch is the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0800.
The only other thing you will need to complete the set up is a hitch ball, either the 2" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6080 or 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6100.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Fastway weight distribution hitch.
