Question:
I have ST235/80R16 tires on my 5th wheel. I have a tire monitoring system. tires inflated to 80 PSI cold. When driving down the road, the tire pressure will increase to 95 PSI. Is this normal and safe?

Expert Reply:
Trailer tires do heat up when travelling which causes the tire pressure to increase as well. As long as you aren't exceeding the speed rating and weight rating of the tire you are totally fine with whatever pressure change occurs.
